Dustin R. Plunkett, DDS
Dr. Plunkett is a passionate dentist who strives for excellence by providing the most up to date, evidence-based care available.
Educational Background: Dr. Plunkett graduated Magna cum laude with his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology; then continued on to graduate from The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a hospital-based residency program at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. Dr. Plunkett then completed programs with Progressive Orthodontics, the American Institute of Implant Dentistry and the Obstructive Sleep Apnea University. He then worked in Private Practice, at the Department of Surgery for Providence Hospital and Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers in the Virginia, Washington, D.C, and surrounding areas. Dr. Plunkett has also worked with the Indian Health Services, Remote Area Medical and Mission of Mercy throughout rural areas of the United States and places such as Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Plunkett grew up in Skaneateles, the finger lakes region of central New York, but he has been visiting the low country since he was a child. He now resides here on Seabrook Island. Both his parents and other relatives live on Seabrook Island as well. He is excited to be closer to family, to see new patients and to meet all of the wonderful residents of Kiawah, Seabrook, Johns Island and all of the Lowcountry.
Other than Dentistry and Outreach he enjoys golfing, skiing, boating, road biking, traveling and enjoying an oyster roast with friends and family.
