Meet The Staff

Katelyn- office manager

With nearly a decade of experience in dentistry, our office manager Katelyn is as well rounded as they come! Katelyn started her career in the field as an assistant, but she later fell in love with the problem solving and patient engagement that comes along with management. She is a jack of all trades, and she keeps our “engine” running smoothly. When Katelyn is not keeping everyone in line, she can be found playing with her dog Ellie Mae, riding around in a boat somewhere, or hunting with her family. Katelyn and her husband, Matthew, are proud to welcome their very first baby girl, Mattelyn, to the world!

Aura- receptionist

The newest member of our team is our lovely receptionist, Aura! She is a born and raised Johns Island local who found her passion for dentistry just a few years ago during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aura says that her favorite part of the job is being able to see patients’ transformations and especially their confidence boosts even after the first visit! Aura’s enthusiasm and heart of gold make her a valued asset to our team. When Aura is not busy as the liaison between patients and providers, she loves spending time drawing, traveling to new cities, and getting in good quality time with her pup, Lucy!

Mallory- registered dental hygientist

After graduating from Francis Marion College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, our hygienist Mallory decided to return home to attend New Hampshire Technical Institute to pursue life as a dental hygienist—a dream she has had since 7th grade. Mallory is passionate about providing the best dental care for her patients in a fun and educational setting; her favorite part of the job is the special relationships she builds with her patients. Mallory enjoys watching and playing sports with her boyfriend, Josh, taking her sweet pup, Charlee, on new adventures, and brushing up on fun facts about her favorite animal, sea otters!

kellie- registered dental hygientist

A Vermont native, Kellie graduated from dental hygiene school in 2017 from Vermont Technical College and has been practicing as a registered dental hygienist for over 5 years. After getting married in 2021, she, her husband Jeff, and their two dogs, Gunner and Stella made the move down the East coast to Charleston, South Carolina. As a certified world traveler and self-proclaimed foodie, our hygienist Kellie has truly found her home here in the Lowcountry. In her free time, you can find Kellie relaxing on a beach, planning her next big trip, or scoping out all the best eats in town!

jessica- registered dental hygientist

Whether she is working on her farm or taking care of her patients, our hygienist, Jessica, always puts her best foot forward. Jessica graduated from Trident Technical College’s dental hygiene program in 2016,
and she has been practicing for over 7 years now. She says that her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is seeing the transformations in her patients’ smiles and confidence. Her two sweet daughters, her husband, Danny, and all the duties that come with farm life, keep Jessica busy! In the rare time she has all to herself, Jessica enjoys baking, spending time sprucing up her yard, and learning to crochet!

brandi- dental assistant

With over 10 years of experience, our dental assistant Brandi is a seasoned veteran in the dental field. She immediately knew that dentistry was her calling after her first day on the job at 18 years old working for a dentist in her hometown, Savannah, Georgia. Brandi’s favorite part of the job is making real, personal connections with her patients; her bubbly personality and nurturing spirit make it effortless to build those lasting professional relationships. In her free time, Brandi enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her son or curling up with a good book and her two cats, Salem and Sage!

joy- dental assistant

All the way from the big city of Columbia, South Carolina, comes Joy, our dental assistant with over 20 years of experience. Joy has had a passion for dentistry ever since she was a little girl in braces. She has experience working closely with doctors and specialists all over South Carolina and Georgia, and she says that making people feel good about themselves is her favorite part of the job.  When Joy is not busy assisting our doctors and making patients feel right at home, she enjoys learning about natural sciences and geology, antique hunting, and brushing up on historical facts!

tiffany- dental assistant

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Charleston Southern University and Master of Science in Medical Sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina, our seasonal dental assistant, Tiffany, joined our team! Tiffany is currently attending MUSC for dental school, and in a few short years she will be a dentist like Dr. Plunkett and Dr. Arrington! She loves coming back to work with us when she has breaks during the school year. When Tiffany is not studying up on all things dental or getting hands on experience with us, she can be found at the lake, hanging out with her friends, or playing with her cat, Posey!
