Meet The Staff

Jackie Hilbert – Practice Manager
I’m a Jersey girl turned Southern belle! I moved from New Jersey to South Carolina in 2013 with my amazing military husband and never looked back. I’ve spent over 20 years in the customer service industry, and I use that experience to make sure your journey with us starts on the right foot. I started in the dental field in 2007 and have loved making people smile ever since—literally! Life is full and fun with our two dogs, two cats, and three awesome kids who keep us busy on and off the soccer fields. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me boating, painting, or soaking up family time wherever we can find it.

Debbie Johnson – Insurance Coordinator
I’m a Riverland Terrace girl, just like my mom and grandmother. I’ve lived on Kiawah for 46 years and have worked as a registered dental hygienist, a dental and medical equipment sales rep, and a dental technology advisor for 58 years. My husband Kenny was born and raised here too. My son Ramon grew up on Kiawah and can usually be found at The River Course, Cassique, or out boating. My stepson Kent grew up in Charleston and now works in Mt. Pleasant. Bunny, my Yorkie Poo, rules the roost and even helps me work the front desk. These days, I’m enjoying retirement—renovating the house, sneaking off to the beach, and boating. The best part is being able to work just three miles from home, helping out at KVD and meeting all our great patients!

Jessica Stackhouse – Hygienist
Whether she is working on her farm or taking care of her patients, our hygienist, Jessica, always puts her best foot forward. Jessica graduated from Trident Technical College’s dental hygiene program in 2016, and she has been practicing for over 7 years now. She says that her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is seeing the transformations in her patients’ smiles and confidence. Her two sweet daughters, her husband, Danny, and all the duties that come with farm life, keep Jessica busy! In the rare time she has all to herself, Jessica enjoys baking, spending time sprucing up her yard, and learning to crochet!

Kennedy Garner – Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi everyone! My name is Kennedy, and I recently made the move to the Lowcountry from Utah with my husband and our puppy. We’ve been having so much fun exploring the area and are loving everything the Lowcountry has to offer!
I’m passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles and truly enjoy building relationships with the people I care for. I’m so excited to be part of the amazing team at Kiawah Village Dentistry, and I look forward to meeting you!

Hiru Patel – Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Hiru (He-Ru)! I was born and raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and graduated from the College of Charleston in May 2025. I’ve been a dental assistant for 5 years here in the Lowcountry and am currently working toward my goal of attending dental school. In my free time, I love spending time with my baby nephew and friends. I enjoy doing henna art, reading, and doing my part to help save the sea turtles!

Kaelin Podstreleny – Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Kaelin and I’m so excited to be working as a dental assistant here at Kiawah Village Dentistry! A little bit about me, I’m originally from San Diego, CA and graduated from the University of Georgia with my B.S. in Biomedical Physiology and minor in Biology in May 2026. I moved to Charleston shortly after and am actively applying to dental schools! I have work experience in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and training in General Dentistry. I’ve been surrounded by dentistry my entire life as my parents are in the dental field and have always felt a passion to help patients achieve their best selves through maintaining proper oral health. My favorite part of the job is making patients feel comfortable and cared for, as well as getting to know patients to help make their visit a little less stressful. I believe that a great dental visit starts with feeling heard and at ease. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy hobbies like surfing, needlepointing, and making sourdough bread! I also love trying out new restaurants/cafes in downtown Charleston. I’m very much looking forward to helping keep your smile healthy!
